To begin 2026, we invite you to join a small group to read and reflect on “Slowing Down to the Speed of Joy” by Matthew Kelly. This is the book we gave to attendees of the 2025 Christmas Masses. Groups will meet once a week for four weeks, beginning the week of January 13th. Each session will include a book discussion, a reflection on Scripture, and time for silent prayer and Eucharistic Adoration. Meeting options are Tuesdays at 10:00 am, Wednesdays at 3:30 pm, and Thursdays at 7:00 pm. You may mix and match sessions as your schedule allows. Groups will meet in the Holy Family Center, Rooms 2 and 3.

“Slowing Down to the Speed of Joy” by Matthew Kelly invites us to rediscover something deeply Christian and deeply human: the power of presence. God is present to us—always. He waits for us in prayer, in Scripture, in the Eucharist, and in the quiet moments of our day. But we must learn again how to be present to Him. That presence cannot be rushed. Love can’t be rushed. When we slow down enough to truly “be” with the Lord, we begin to recognize His voice, His peace, and His gentle guidance. From that encounter flows something beautiful: the ability to be genuinely present to others. Our time, attention, patience, compassion, and ministry become expressions of Christ’s love at work in us.

We hope that you can join us for this enriching time of shared reflection and prayer.
