About
Adult Faith Formation Ministry provides a variety of opportunities for adult parishioners to learn about their Catholic faith and to grow in their relationships with Jesus. Whether watching video presentations, listening to in-house and guest speakers, or reading and discussing the Bible or fiction and non-fiction books, participants are encouraged to listen and learn, discuss and grow. Current programs are listed below and new programs will be announced in the weekly parish bulletin.

St. John Neumann Book Club
Join Fr. Greg Olszewski at St. John Neumann Church to read and discuss “Who Has Seen the Wind” by Canadian author W.O. Mitchell. The story follows Brian O’Connal and his friends and family as they grow up on the Canadian Prairie. Discussion will include birth, death, God, infinity, loneliness and marriage to name a few topics. The wind itself also plays a major role. This group will meet on Thursdays, October 30th, November 6th and November 13 in the Gathering Area at St. John Neumann Church starting at 7:00 PM. Paticipants should read Part One for 10/30; Part Two for 11/6; and Parts Three & Four for 11/13.

Adult Bible Study
The Monday Morning Bible Study group will take on “Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom” from Ascension Press beginning on May 12th. This group will continue to meet exclusively on Zoom and will once again be facilitated by Art and Cindy Leonard. In the fall, the Monday Morning Bible Study group will begin looking at “The Chosen: Season 5”. These sessions meet via Zoom and include both large group discussion, watching videos, and small group discussion. This series will be lead by Art and Cindy Leonard. See the contact information above.
Genesis Scripture Time
“In the beginning…”
From the Garden of Eden to the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, Fr. Greg Olszewski will guide the study of the Book of Genesis from Chapters 1 to 15. Minimally, we will encounter Creation, Temptation, Sin, Murder, Mercy the Flood, the Tower, the Sojourn and much more. Plus, the characters are incredible: Adam, Eve, Abel, Cain, Noah, Sarai, Abram and GOD!
Join us at 7:00 PM on Monday, October 6, 13 and 20, in the Holy Family Center. Please bring your own Bible, preferably the New American Bible translation, since that is what we hear proclaimed during Mass. Contact the Main Office of the church at 440.238.5555 to register.
