Praise the Lord! Our parish is blessed to take part in Called to Flourish: Our Church for the Future, a diocesan-wide effort to strengthen every parish and ministry across the Diocese of Cleveland. This campaign invites us to renew our commitment to the mission Christ has entrusted to us — to grow in faith, serve others with joy, and build a Church that will flourish for generations to come.
Here at St. Joseph Parish, we have long been a community rooted in generosity. Through our participation in Called to Flourish, we have the opportunity to address important needs at our parish while also supporting shared diocesan priorities that serve the entire Catholic community of Northeast Ohio.

Our Parish Roots
Guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ and inspired by the Holy Spirit, we are the Catholic community of St. Joseph Parish. We celebrate the Eucharist, worship God, and use our God-given gifts to serve all of God’s people. We have been serving God and our neighbors since 1946.
This year, as we celebrate 80 years in Strongsville, we honor our rich past and look forward with faith and hope to the future God has planned for us.
Our Campaign Goal
Parish Goal: $1,505,000
Parish Share: $752,500
To continue growing as a vibrant, Christ-centered community, St. Joseph Parish is launching two key initiatives as a part of the Called to Flourish: Our Church for the Future campaign with our 50% parish share.
Your support will help bring these projects to life and strengthen our parish into the future.
Our parish campaign goals are based on the needs we’ve identified, the estimated costs of the projects, and the generosity we believe our community can achieve together.
Investing in Our Worship Space
Our church is where our parish comes together for prayer, the celebration of the Mass, and the sacraments that mark our lives of faith. Enhancing the church worship space is an opportunity to thoughtfully beautify the environment in which we gather.
Projects that will be the focus of this effort include:
- Modifying the sanctuary back wall to lift the mind, body and soul to God
- Relocating the tabernacle to the center of the sanctuary
- Updating lighting to improve visibility and focus
- Enhancing the ceiling design
- Installing tile flooring throughout the church
Improving Sound for Worship and Gathering
Clear sound supports worship and parish gatherings in both the church and the Holy Family Center. The church sound system has not been replaced in more than 20 years, and sound in the parish hall also requires updating to better support liturgies, meetings, and events.
In both spaces, inconsistent clarity can limit participation in prayer, music, and communication. Updating sound systems throughout these key gathering areas will support the improvements being made to the worship space and allow parishioners to more easily hear the Word of God and engage fully in worship and parish life.
Additional Parish Projects
Upon reaching our campaign goal, St. Joseph Parish will retain 80% of any additional funds raised. These funds will allow us to save toward future projects that will be prioritized based on parish needs, including:
- Beautifying the chapel to match the church
- Finishing our organ project
- Supporting Sts. Joseph and John School
- Growing our parish endowment
