- Love to sing or play an instrument? Consider fitting music ministry into your 2005-2006 calendar! Anyone who desires to participate is welcome. Although some ministries such as that of Cantor or instrumentalist require a degree of skill, those without music reading abilities are welcome to join. This March we will be participating in the Rededication of the Church when Bishop Pilla joins us to celebrate our Parish’s 60th Anniversary!

A number of ministries in the liturgy deal directly with music: instrumentalists, accompanists, choir, cantor, contemporary choir, ensembles. These ministries demonstrate the reality that our liturgy is intended to be a musical (sung) liturgy. These ministries are to support the assembly in its sung prayer.

As music ministers, we serve the Church by encouraging the active participation of the assembly at Mass. We commit ourselves to a spirit of hospitality - welcoming the gifts of all parishoners and encouraging them to be involved as music ministers and as active members of the congregation. We select accessible music that highlights the Word of God and strive to present it with quality musicianship.
